Calibrating with Selmatec just became easier! Discover our remote calibration kit for IR devices

For continuous inline thermal monitoring in press hardening and hot forming plants, our CQI-9-compliant PH-Inspector ensures reliable and precise temperature measurement under demanding industrial conditions. But to maintain this accuracy over time, international standards such as CQI-9 require regular calibration of all test and measurement equipment used in production.

To facilitate this requirement, we now offer a remote calibration option specifically developed for inline infrared monitoring systems, including PH-Inspector and other Selmatec solutions.

Say goodbye to dismantling and downtime

Conventional calibration often involves removing infrared devices from the production line and sending them to a laboratory. This results in logistical effort, production interruptions, and additional costs. With our remote calibration kit, we enable CQI-9-compliant calibration directly at your plant,  without dismantling installed IR sensors. The remote-supported kit is operated online by our expert engineers, ensuring certified and traceable results while keeping production impact to a minimum.

How It Works

Our Selmatec remote calibration kit combines a high-precision infrared reference unit with a blackbody radiator and a flexible mounting solution. Thanks to its mechanical adaptability, inline-installed sensors are ready to calibrate when mounted. Once power supply and network access are established, our engineers perform a remote multi-point calibration using specially developed software supporting both manual and automatic modes.

After calibration, customers receive ISO-compliant certificates in accordance with the manufacturer’s standards. These certificates provide verified proof of measurement accuracy and fully meet the documentation requirements for CQI-9 audits and quality management.

Efficient, economical, and globally available

In most cases, customers achieve a return on investment after only two calibration cycles (equivalent to 12-24 months) while benefiting from high system availability and reliable measurement data. So, why pause production to recalibrate sensors? Our remote solution keeps your systems accurate, saves cost, and boosts uptime.

In addition to remote-supported calibration, we continue to provide on-site calibration services, laboratory calibration, and worldwide technical support with hololens and a dedicated mobile application, ensuring that every customer benefits from the most suitable solution for their specific application.
