With our new SE-Inspector based on the 3D laser sensor C6 Series we aim to reinforce monitoring on this tricky area. This device captures the three-dimensional data of metal sheet edges with high accuracy. Traditional scanning sensors provide fast and proven profile data for many applications, but, without laser line triangulation, crucial data is lost when complex edge geometry is involved. This is the case during metal sheet processing due to its high speed, making it very hard to profile digitally.

However, the powerful 3D laser sensor C6 Series makes it possible thanks to an impressive scanning speed of up to 350 m/min, which positions this device as a leader in the market. Any type of imperfection is detected at an early stage, before it affects forming quality, increase scrap, or cause unplanned machine downtime. Additionally, the robust industrial design, combined with protective accessories and low maintenance requirements, makes the hardware well suited for continuous steel production environments.
